Starts and scores
Bakambu scored one goal to go with three shots (two on goal) and one chance created in Wednesday's 3-3 draw versus Houston Dynamo.
Analysis: Wednesday marked Bakambu's first start for San Diego, and he arguably made a valid case for why he should continue starting for the team moving forward. In both of his last two appearances, he not only logged two shots on goal but also scored for the side as well.
Scores in heavy defeat
Bakambu scored one goal to go with three shots (two on goal) in Saturday's 4-1 defeat against New York Red Bulls.
Analysis: Bakambu scored his second goal since joining the MLS as his side lost heavily to the New York Red Bulls. He has played his part in five games in the MLS and is waiting to make his first start, although the last two matches have seen him play the full second half. He took three shots in the game, his most in the MLS so far and put two on target.
