On bench Saturday
Bedoya (knee) is on the bench for Saturday's clash against Montreal.
Analysis: Bedoya will likely remain a substitute option after overcoming a physical issue that forced him to miss one game. In that case, he'll offer experience and passing quality to his team's midfield, where he could play a wide role behind current starters Cavan Sullivan and Indiana Vassilev.
Doubtful with knee injury
Bedoya has sustained a knee issue that puts his participation in question for upcoming games, the MLS reported Friday.
Analysis: Bedoya is a longtime USMNT midfielder and one of the most experienced and influential players in Philadelphia Union history, even though he hasn't played a huge role this season, so his unavailability would impact the squad's depth. It's unclear when he picked up the injury and how long he'll be sidelined if he fails to recover in upcoming weeks. Both Cavan Sullivan and Quinn Sullivan will be expected to see increased playing time on the wings if the veteran is ruled out for an extended period.
