Joins Elche on loan
Lemar joined Elche on a season-long loan deal from Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
Analysis: Between injuries, subpar performances and falling out of favor with manager Diego Simeone, Lemar has been a non-factor at Atletico Madrid for the better part of the last two seasons. He'll get the chance to reset his career at Elche, and if he stays healthy, the Frenchman should be able to play consistently in a squad that doesn't have many creative playmakers like Lemar.

Lemar will return to parent club Atletico Madrid following the conclusion of his loan spell at Girona, the club announced.
Analysis: Lemar contributed three goals and one assist in 27 appearances (14 starts) for Girona this season, bringing his experience and technical quality to the midfield throughout his time at the club. Girona thanked Lemar for his contribution and wished him well as he now returns to Atletico Madrid ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Solid service off the bench
Lemar had five crosses (three accurate) and one corner in Thursday's 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad.
Analysis: Lemar had three accurate crosses in five attempts and perhaps could've helped Girona more had he been deployed earlier. The midfielder should be a factor off the bench to create a spark against Atletico Madrid, a side which has only given up 39 goals in La Liga play.
