Surgery successful
Bye has undergone a successful surgery on his knee following a torn ACL, according to his club.
Analysis: Bye was announced to have a torn ACL around a week ago and has now undergone the knife, receiving a successful surgery. He will now be looking at around an eight-month recovery window, although it will depend on his development. He will likely miss the start of the next season, a rough loss after earning a starting role this campaign.
Suffers apparent torn ACL
Bye has suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season and part of the 2027 season, according to Adam Susman of the Timber Review.
Analysis: Bye went down injured in Wednesday's match against San Diego and has received the worst possible news, as the defender has suffered a torn ACL. This is his second torn ACL since the 2023 season and a major blow to a young player who was starting to break out, recording one goal and four assists in 20 appearances this season from his right-back spot. He will now likely be sidelined until the spring of 2027, a major blow for the player's development and the club.
