Five crosses Wednesday
Sanchez registered one shot (one on goal), five crosses (zero accurate) and four corners in Wednesday's 3-0 loss to Atlanta United.
Analysis: Sanchez continues to see the start for Montreal, but has yet to truly impress with his new team, having yet to bag a goal contribution in his 10 appearances (six starts). His best matches so far have consisted of quite a few crosses, although he isn't creating many chances or seeing many shots on net. That said, the veteran is clearly past his best, leaving a lot to be asked for so far in his Montreal career.
Start with 12 crosses
Sanchez had three shots (zero on goal), 12 crosses (two accurate) and eight corners in Wednesday's 2-1 defeat against Charlotte FC.
Analysis: Sanchez has been eased into Montreal, an unsurprising development considering that he just transferred out of La Liga team Sevilla to the Canadian side not that long ago. Last Sunday marked Sanchez's first start with Montreal, and Wednesday ensured that he would begin his September with back-to-back starts. Mid-week, he looked like the Sanchez of old, leading the team in crossing and chance creation, giving Montreal a glimpse of what the Chilean could do leading the charge in a less strenuous setting.
