On bench versus New England
Marin (thigh) is on the bench for Saturday's visit to New England Revolution.
Analysis: Marin regained full fitness after being absent since Aug. 19, though he'll have his playing time managed before returning to contention for a starting spot. After the game against the Revs, the defender should become a serious candidate to replace either Bernardo Rhein or Robin Jansson at left- and center-back, respectively. Prior to the injury, Marin produced three assists across 18 MLS games (13 starts) this campaign and was averaging 2.6 clearances and 1.4 tackles per contest.
Doubtful with thigh issue
Marin's status ahead of Saturday's meeting with Real Salt Lake is unclear because of a thigh injury, according to the league.
Analysis: Marin is a reliable defensive option when healthy, and a thigh concern putting him in doubt on a match day where the club is already managing multiple absences adds to the defensive uncertainty. If he can play, Orlando's left side retains a solid defensive presence who could feature in both central and left-sided roles. Otherwise, midfielder Tiago Souza might be deployed in defense given the lack of natural alternatives.
