Credited with assist in win
Choiniere assisted once to go with zero corners and one chance created in Saturday's 4-0 win versus Sporting Kansas City.
Analysis: Choiniere set up LAFC's second goal with a perfect long ball that allowed Denis Bouanga to find the back of the net against Kansas City's passive defending. Choiniere can deliver the odd assist here and there, but he's not known for being much of a playmaker in a deep-lying role. Thus, his fantasy appeal shoudn't be overly high.
Provides assist in victory
Choiniere assisted once to go with two chances created in Wednesday's 3-1 win against Real Salt Lake.
Analysis: Choiniere played 64 minutes as LAFC's right midfielder, registering two key passes as the Black and Gold dominated RSL for long stretches of the first half. He provided the assist for Denis Bouanga's goal right before halftime and helped create the spaces that allowed Son and Bouanga to operate with freedom throughout the game. Choiniere now has two goals and two assists in 17 MLS appearances this season.
Four crosses during loss
Choiniere registered four crosses (one accurate) and one corner in Wednesday's 2-1 defeat versus Switzerland.
Analysis: Choiniere sent in four crosses and took a corner during Wednesday's loss. He had some nice volume and the role on set-pieces helps prop up his volume throughout the match. The midfielder will need to be more efficient as Canada look to create some upsets in the knockout stage.
Provides assist off bench
Choiniere assisted once to go with one shot (zero on goal), one cross (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-2 draw versus San Diego FC.
Analysis: Choiniere came off the bench in the 79th minute with LAFC trailing by two and immediately made his presence felt, racking up a season-high four tackles (two won) while adding a shot and a chance created that set up Ryan Hollingshead's late equalizer for his first assist through 11 MLS appearances. He brought energy and bite in the midfield and helped swing momentum when LAFC needed it most. With Stephen Eustaquio back fit, his minutes could take a hit moving forward, but he showed he can still be a difference-maker off the bench for the Black and Gold.
