Starting against SKC
Segura (leg) is in the initial lineup for Saturday's game against Sporting Kansas City.
Analysis: Segura has achieved a fast recovery from his injury, bouncing back into a spot as part of a center-back pairing alongside Nkosi Tafari. Prior to the issue, Segura was averaging 48.1 accurate passes, 3.0 clearances and 1.7 tackles per game in league play. He'll aim to improve on those numbers while holding occasional clean sheet chances for the remainder of the year. His inclusion in the starting XI will push Aaron Long to a backup role.
Added to injury report
Segura is questionable for the time being due to a leg injury, per the MLS Player Status Report.
Analysis: Segura is a new addition to LAFC's report this matchday with a leg concern, and with Porteous already ruled out, his questionable status is particularly significant given that LAFC could be dealing with multiple important absences on Wednesday. He's an experienced midfielder and defender whose availability is critical to their backline organization. If he misses out, Marco Delgado could be a replacement in the midfield.
