Registers 6 clearances
Paredes had one tackle (zero won), six clearances and one interception in Saturday's 0-0 draw versus Deportivo Alaves.
Analysis: Paredes returned to the starting XI after coming off the bench in Athletic's previous two matches and helped the side keep Alaves off the scoresheet. The center-back played the full 90 minutes and contributed six clearances as Athletic remained largely untroubled defensively. His return to the lineup gives him an opportunity to re-establish a regular role in central defense, though competition for starts remains significant.
Nets loan goal for club
Paredes scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Sevilla.
Analysis: Paredes was the only player of Athletic to find the back of the net Saturday, scoring in the 70th minute of the loss. This is a rare goal for the defender, only earning two all of last campaign. He would also add two tackles won and five clearances while his club allowed three goals.
