Glad (groin) is on the bench for Saturday's match against St. Louis City.
Analysis: Glad had previously been inactive since May and only resumed training over the past few weeks, so he could still go unused for a few games. In any case, his appearance among the substitutes is a huge step forward for a center-back who had played a regular role during the first half of the season. Once he's back on the pitch, perhaps at the expense of Luc De Fougerolles or Philip Quinton, Glad should be highly valuable for accurate passes, clearances and interceptions.
Set to resume full training
Glad (groin) is expected to return to full team training this week as he continues recovering from injury, according to coach Pablo Mastroeni, per Salt City Soccer.
Analysis: Glad appears to be making significant progress in his recovery from a groin injury that previously led coach Mastroeni to rule him out for the remainder of the 2026 season. Although his impending return to full training is an encouraging development, there has been no indication that he will be available for competitive action before the end of the campaign. The center-back recorded 62 clearances, 11 tackles and 13 interceptions across 12 MLS appearances this season. Sam Junqua, Lukas Engel, Juan Jose Arias and Kobi Henry have all received additional playing time during his absence, while Glad will look to regain full fitness ahead of a potential return to competition.
