Expected to return soon
Priso (ankle) has worked in the gym while he continues to recover from a sprain, about which coach Jesper Sorensen was optimistic, revealing that "He is getting closer. He just needs to turn the corner where he can run without pain. Hopefully soon he will turn the corner and he should be progressing pretty fast.", Har Journalist of Canadian Soccer Daily reports.
Analysis: Priso might still be forced to sit out one or two games, though he's aiming to avoid a severe problem from the issue he picked up in the final days of August. With Ranko Veselinovic (knee) still facing a longer absence, Mathias Laborda and Tristan Blackmon should be the main center-back options if Priso doesn't play in the next couple of matches.
Out with minor ankle issue
Priso is expected to face a short recovery period after coach Jesper Sorensen commented "Ralph, not any specific update. He twisted his ankle, but hopefully it will not be too long. It's not a major thing".
Analysis: Priso has seen 135 minutes of MLS action over four games in August after recovering from a prior hamstring problem. His new injury is not believed to be serious, so the central player could target a return in September. Having switched positions from midfield to the back line since last season, his absence affects the team in terms of possession and stopping opposing attacks. For now, Mathias Laborda will likely be selected alongside Tristan Blackmon at center-back.
