Two shots Wednesday
Kessler recorded two shots (zero on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Wednesday's 3-1 defeat to Columbus Crew.
Analysis: Kessler recorded two shots in his second straight match Wednesday, but he once again failed to put one on target. He contributed seven clearances and three blocked shots on the defensive end, but he and his side were completely peppered by the resurgent Columbus attack. He'll look to get the defense back on track Saturday at Philadelphia.
Scores in draw
Henry Kessler scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) in Wednesday's 3-3 draw against Toronto FC.
Analysis: Kessler got on the scoresheet during Wednesday's draw. It was a rare goal from the defender, who isn't much of an offensive threat in general. It's a nice boon, but this isn't likely to be a sustained offensive turn for Kessler. He's likely to be back as a purely defensive option moving forward.
