Contributes off bench

Sangare registered three tackles (two won), three clearances and one interception in Saturday's 2-2 draw versus Aston Villa.

Analysis: Sangare entered following Kevin Schade's injury and contributed defensively during his 38 minutes on the pitch, recording three tackles, three clearances and one interception. The midfielder has now started on the bench for two consecutive Premier League matches after featuring in the starting lineup for Brentford's opening four fixtures. He has accumulated one assist, five chances created, 17 tackles and seven interceptions across six league appearances this season. With Yehor Yarmolyuk recently preferred in midfield, Sangare faces competition for starts, although his versatility and Schade's potential absence could create opportunities for additional playing time.

Trending in wrong direction

Sangare played 21 minutes off the bench in Brentford's 3-0 win over Chelsea on Sept. 18, marking the first time he didn't start a game for the Bees.

Analysis: Sangare dazzled with an assist in his EPL debut and started in Brentford's first four EPL contests. However, he came off the bench against the Blues, and his impact was limited in a 21-minute cameo. It remains to be seen whether he'll recover his starting role when Brentford take on Aston Villa on Oct. 10 when the league resumes after the international break.
