Ruled out against Le Mans
Mbamba (hamstring) is ruled out for Saturday's clash against Le Mans, according to the club.
Analysis: Mbamba had been considered a doubt after hurting his hamstring in a hard fought training duel earlier in the week, an injury that came right after he scored his first goal for Lorient in the draw against Toulouse. Arthur Avom figures to return to the starting XI in his spot as Lorient continues its season.
Doubftul due to hamstring issue
Mbamba hurt his hamstring in a hard fought duel Wednesday in team training and is a doubt for Saturday's clash against Le Mans, according to coach Alexandre Dujeux, per Le Telegramme. "He hurt his hamstring yesterday in a hard fought duel, we're waiting to see the latest tests."
Analysis: Mbamba had just scored his first goal for Lorient in Saturday's draw against Toulouse, converting his only shot on target and adding an interception in that match. Arthur Avom could return to the starting XI in his spot if Mbamba is forced to miss time, and further clarity on the severity of the hamstring issue should emerge once the test results are known.
