Targeting return after break

Hinshelwood (undisclosed) could have a chance to return to a match squad after the international break, with the midfielder not yet ruled out of the Oct. 10 visit to Sunderland, per Derren Howard of Sussex World.

Analysis: Hinshelwood has been absent since Aug. 23, when he scored a brace for a promising start to the season. The versatile midfielder may still give Brighton a boost before the end of the calendar year and could be included in the No. 10 rotation with Malick Yalcouye and Yasin Ayari. However, the 21-year-old's playing time will likely be limited as he makes a gradual return from his injury.

Could miss several weeks

Hinshelwood (undisclosed) is set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining an injury in training, according to Sam Joseph of The Athletic.

Analysis: Hinshelwood had starred in the season opening win over Aston Villa, scoring twice from the number 10 role before being substituted, making this setback especially frustrating timing. While manager Hurzeler suggested in his press conference that a return could still be possible in the near term, other reports indicate he could be facing a more extended absence, and he now joins a lengthy list of Brighton attackers on the sidelines. Matt O'Riley is expected to see more playing time in his spot until he returns.
