Analysis: Lujan made his third straight start since returning from a prior issue, but he felt a new muscular pain that prevented him from staying on the field after 26 minutes of action. Losing the defender again would be a significant blow to the team given his defensive consistency, and it affects the depth of a back line that is already without Micael (strain). Analysis: Lujan, who had been pegged as the expected starter at centerback for this match, was pulled aside to do individual work rather than take part in the full group session at the start of Tuesday's training, an unmistakable signal that something is being managed with him physically. That alone puts his availability for the Chicago match squarely in doubt, and the situation is compounded by the fact that Maximiliano Falcon, who would ordinarily be first in line to deputize for him, was doing the exact same individual work at the same time. With both centerbacks now carrying uncertainty into the build-up, Noah Allen emerges as the most logical candidate to step into the starting lineup if neither Lujan nor Falcon is cleared in time, though nothing has been confirmed by the club as of now.
