On bench for Nashville match
Lujan (lower leg) is back on the bench for the weekend's duel versus Nashville.
Analysis: Lujan will look to play a role in upcoming weeks, although his involvement now depends on how quickly he builds match fitness and momentum after missing three league matches. In addition to Lujan, Micael has rejoined the team as well after an injury absence, so both of them could contend with Maximiliano Falcon for central spots, allowing Casemiro to stop covering in that zone and move back to midfield.
Forced off Saturday
Lujan left Saturday's matchup versus Toronto with discomfort in his right leg.
Analysis: Lujan made his third straight start since returning from a prior issue, but he felt a new muscular pain that prevented him from staying on the field after 26 minutes of action. Losing the defender again would be a significant blow to the team given his defensive consistency, and it affects the depth of a back line that is already without Micael (strain). After the incident in the game versus Toronto, right-back Facundo Mura came on, and the versatile Ian Fray moved to the center.
