Unused sub, past lower body issue
Barroso was an unused substitute in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to Miami, though his inclusion in the squad suggests he has moved past his lower body issue, the club posted.
Analysis: Barroso had been sidelined since April 12, and finding a spot on the bench after his lower body issues is an encouraging sign that his recovery is complete. He previously contributed five shots, 11 crosses, nine clearances and seven tackles across seven MLS starts before the injury, and his path back into the starting lineup, likely at right back, will be one to track over the coming matches.
Working in gym
Barroso (lower body) was in the gym Tuesday while he continued to make progress in his recovery from injury, Joe Chatz of On Tap Sports reports.
Analysis: Barroso has been sidelined April 12 and could now be targeting a return after the World Cup break. The wide player operated as a right-back at the beginning of the season, but that spot is likely to be filled by Jonathan Dean for at least one more game. Prior to the issue, Barroso racked up five shots, 11 crosses, nine clearances and seven tackles in seven MLS starts.
