Returns from injury in friendly
Ricketts (undisclosed) returned to action in Friday's 2-1 friendly loss against Tijuana, marking his comeback from the injury that forced him off in the 82nd minute of the win against Portland before the World Cup break, the club posted.
Analysis: Ricketts had approximately two months to recover before MLS action resumes, giving him sufficient time to return to full fitness, and his appearance in the friendly suggests he has made good progress. His return gives San Jose an important option back in contention ahead of their next fixture against Orlando on July 22.
