Scores in return
Murray (undisclosed) played in Sunday's 2-1 Leagues Cup loss to Cruz Azul and scored a goal, confirming he is fully fit, according to the club.
Analysis: Murray had been forced off with likely cramps during his debut appearance against Santos Laguna last week, so this follow up performance, complete with a goal, is a strong sign the earlier issue has cleared up. His continued development in the back line will be one to track as New York City FC progresses through Leagues Cup play.
Makes first team debut
Murray (undisclosed) made his first ever appearance for New York City FC in Thursday's 2-0 Leagues Cup win over Santos Laguna and was forced off in the 63rd minute, likely due to cramps, the club posted.
Analysis: Murray stepped into the back line in place of the injured Thiago Martins (hamstring), and made the most of his opportunity before the cramping cut his outing short. His debut is a promising sign for the young defender's development, and further clarity on the severity of the issue should emerge as New York City FC continues through Leagues Cup play.
