Suffers new injury
Reguilon subbed off in the second half of Saturday's 2-1 loss to Toronto after picking up an apparent injury, Franco Panizo of Miami Total Futbol reports.
Analysis: Reguilon's physical difficulties have been a constant limitation throughout his first MLS season, but he had started in eight of the last nine league game weeks prior to this appearance. The severity of his current issue is still unclear, making his status a doubt for upcoming matches. If he's eventually ruled out, his place in the starting lineup could be taken by Noah Allen.
Plays 14 minutes Wednesday
Reguilon (hamstring) appeared off the bench during the Leagues Cup round one victory over Atletico San Luis.
Analysis: Reguilon returned to action after being excluded from the previous league game versus Columbus Crew due to a minor muscle issue. The left-back was fit enough only for a few minutes as a substitute, replacing standout performer Noah Allen towards the end of the second half against the Potosinos. Once the Spaniard is ready for a full workload, he'll likely move back into the starting lineup at the expense of either Allen or Ian Fray. In that case, Reguilon should offer two-way value as a highly offensive full-back with set-piece duties.
