Goal, red card against LAFC
Dreyer was sent off after scoring a goal during Saturday's 1-0 win over Los Angeles FC.
Analysis: Dreyer almost finished the game as the visitors' hero by notching the decisive goal from the penalty spot in the 89th minute, but he picked up a second yellow card in stoppage time. The winger will consequently serve suspension in the upcoming visit to Portland Timbers and could return to action later in the double week versus Colorado. This is the toughest blow San Diego's offense could suffer at this point given that Dreyer has scored two of the team's last four goals in all competitions. They do have decent depth if either Lewis Morgan or David Vazquez move to the right flank, with Elias Achouri or Amahl Pellegrino filling in on the opposite side while Dreyer is suspended.
Scores in 1-1 draw
Dreyer scored one goal to go with four shots (two on goal), five crosses (one accurate) and four corners in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Minnesota United. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 64th minute.
Analysis: Dreyer scored the goal for San Diego as they drew 1-1 away to Minnesota. This brought Dreyer to seven goals for the MLS season, where he has also provided seven assists. In the two games since the return to MLS action after the World Cup, he has taken 11 shots in the last two games, putting five on target. He also created three chances in the game for the eighth time this season despite not getting an assist in the game.
Registers most crosses
Dreyer registered seven shots (three on goal), five crosses (two accurate) and six corners in Saturday's 1-0 win against FC Dallas.
Analysis: Dreyer recorded the most crosses in the game and also created four opportunities. He also recorded the most shots in the match. San Diego largely dominated possession and in the rare event that Dallas regained possession, Dreyer contributed defensively with two tackles and an interception. He has featured in every single game this campaign and also contributed to 13 goals.
Four crosses in loss
Dreyer had two shots (zero on goal), four crosses (zero accurate) and three corners in Wednesday's 1-0 defeat to Colorado Rapids.
Analysis: Dreyer was San Diego's most direct and technically active wide threat in Wednesday's 1-0 defeat at Colorado, registering two shots (one on target), four crosses and completing two dribbles across 90 minutes as the winger who consistently attempted to create openings against a well-organized Colorado defensive block. The Danish winger has now recorded six goals and seven assists in 16 MLS appearances this season, establishing himself as San Diego's primary attacking outlet. His combination of direct running, crossing volume and individual dribbling ability should continue to make him the focal point of the club's attack heading into the remainder of the campaign.
Brace of assists in loss
Dreyer assisted twice to go with one shot (zero on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 4-2 defeat versus Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
Analysis: Dreyer was not at his usual offensive threat with only one shot on the night, but his two chances created translated into two assists, the third time this season he has registered that number of assists in a single game. The winger has now accumulated three goals and four assists across his last eight appearances from 23 shots and 23 chances created.
Stars on Wednesday
Dreyer scored a goal while taking five shots (three on goal), crossing five times (four accurate) and creating five chances during Wednesday's 5-0 win over Austin.

Provides two assists Saturday

Analysis: Dreyer set up both goals in Marcus Ingvartsen's brace, first in the 7th minute and then again in the 71st, driving forward in transition before slipping a perfectly weighted pass through for Ingvartsen to finish and push San Diego out to a 2-0 lead that they eventually could not protect through stoppage time. The 2025 MLS Newcomer of the Year has carried over the momentum from last season's 23-goal, 17-assist breakout, now up to 10 goal contributions in 11 MLS appearances in 2026, leading the team in production. His chemistry with Ingvartsen and his knack for unlocking defenses in transition continue to be San Diego's most dangerous attacking edge.
Converts penalty in loss
Dreyer scored a goal while taking three shots (two on goal), crossing three times (one accurate) and creating two chances during Saturday's 2-1 loss to Portland.
Analysis: Dreyer converted a penalty in the 32nd minute while leading his side in shots and chances created. The attacker has two goals to go along with eight shots, six chances created and 13 crosses over his last three appearances.

Dreyer generated two shots (one on goal), four crosses (three accurate) and two corners in Wednesday's 1-0 loss to Houston Dynamo.
Analysis: Dreyer was the lone offensive spark for a San Diego side which dominated last year's regular season in scoring but struggled on Wednesday. The midfielder should be able to get right against Portland Timbers, a team which has conceded 18 times in eight MLS games.
