Goal, red card against LAFC
Dreyer was sent off after scoring a goal during Saturday's 1-0 win over Los Angeles FC.
Analysis: Dreyer almost finished the game as the visitors' hero by notching the decisive goal from the penalty spot in the 89th minute, but he picked up a second yellow card in stoppage time. The winger will consequently serve suspension in the upcoming visit to Portland Timbers and could return to action later in the double week versus Colorado. This is the toughest blow San Diego's offense could suffer at this point given that Dreyer has scored two of the team's last four goals in all competitions. They do have decent depth if either Lewis Morgan or David Vazquez move to the right flank, with Elias Achouri or Amahl Pellegrino filling in on the opposite side while Dreyer is suspended.
Scores in 1-1 draw
Dreyer scored one goal to go with four shots (two on goal), five crosses (one accurate) and four corners in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Minnesota United. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 64th minute.
Analysis: Dreyer scored the goal for San Diego as they drew 1-1 away to Minnesota. This brought Dreyer to seven goals for the MLS season, where he has also provided seven assists. In the two games since the return to MLS action after the World Cup, he has taken 11 shots in the last two games, putting five on target. He also created three chances in the game for the eighth time this season despite not getting an assist in the game.
